David Forsten Biography

David Forsten is a receipient of the Arrow of Light from Pack 3004 and the Eagle Scout Award from Troop 111 in the dark ages.  After graduating from the University of Tennessee in 1969, David served as Assistant Scoutmaster and Scoutmaster of Troop 111 in the 70’s.

David rejoined Cub Scouting as a Tiger parent in 1992 and subsequently served as Wolf Den Leader, Bear Den Leader, Webelos Den Leader and Cubmaster, earning the Den Leader Award and Cubmaster Award.

In 1998, David began serving as Assistant Scoutmaster for Troop 150 in Dayton and was promoted to Scoutmaster in 2008.  He was a member of Woodbadge class SR 948 and received his beads in November 2010.

David attended the 1960 Golden Anniversary Nation Jamboree in Colorado Springs, Co.  Since rejoining Scouting as a volunteer, he has served as Staff on the 2001, 2005 and 2010 100 Anniversary National Jamboree.

David is a Vigil member of Talidandiganu Lodge and serves on the lodge cook staff along with his wife, Kathryn.  They have two sons, Justin and Jason, who also received their Eagle Scout Award.
