Lewis Davis Biography

Lewis was a member of the Beaver patrol during Wood Badge SR831 and served on staff as a Troop Guide for SR948.  He wasn't involved with scouts as a youth but has found that he can act like a kid again as a leader and get away with it.  His scouting involvement began when his son wanted to join Cub Scouts as a Wolf and Lewis was asked to be the den leader.  This soon lead into Asst Cubmaster, Cubmaster and then to Committee Chair for the pack.  When his son moved over to Boy Scouts he followed to become an Asst Scoutmaster with the troop.  When his daughter began looking for more excitement and outdoor activities than Girl Scouts was offering he helped start a Venturing Crew.  He wears many hats with the pack, troop, crew and district and in his spare time has a real job.  He is associated with Pack 3177, Troop 99, Crew 2018 and the John Ross District.

When Lewis went through Wood Badge as a Beaver he learned a lot about Scouting and made some great new friends.  His Wood Badge experience provide him with the skills to provide leadership to the youth and guidance to the leaders of the units he serves.  He also learned how to set SMART goals and to continue to strive to do his best.
